Family Celebrates Christmas with World Series-Themed Decorations in Texas
When it comes to decorating for Christmas, why not go all out and celebrate the biggest gift of the year? Jesse Gonzales, a resident of North Richland Hills, Texas, has taken this idea to heart with his unique holiday display. Instead of traditional reindeer and Santa’s sleigh, his home on Wisdom Way is adorned with scenes from the 2023 World Series.
Gonzales and his wife Angela are avid Texas Rangers fans, and their love for the team is reflected in their festive decorations. They went on their first date to a Rangers game and got engaged at another one, so it only makes sense that when the Rangers won the World Series, they would combine their usual holiday light show with this momentous occasion.
Their display features 10,000 lights, a giant LED screen showing iconic moments from the series, and even jerseys on skeletons – an homage to the Rangers past, present and future. The entire show is choreographed to Post Malone’s song “Congratulations.”
Their family says that this was certainly their year to “Go and take it,” and they hope more people stop by to enjoy it before their real Christmas decorations go up on Dec. 1. For Gonzales, he wants everyone who sees his display to experience the joy of reliving that day again – a true celebration of the greatest gift of all: winning a championship.
