AUSTINTOWN — When it rains it pours.

Not just the climate, but the Austintown Fitch bats.

As soon as the Falcons got rolling Friday, there was no stopping them in a six-inning, 11-1 victory more than Mentor.

It took a bit for Fitch to catch their bearings at the plate, but beginning in the fourth, the Falcons strung runs collectively — two in the fourth, 4 in the fifth and 3 in the sixth to cap the evening off.

“We preached to them just to shorten their swings up, get the get in touch with and do not attempt to do as well considerably,” assistant coach Bob Jones mentioned. “We get ourselves in difficulty when we attempt to lift the ball.
