Exploring the Impact of Veteran Business Journalist Chris Roush as Dean at Quinnipiac University’s School of Communications

Chris Roush, the new dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, is a seasoned business journalist with an extensive background in the field. Prior to his role at Quinnipiac, Roush was the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. Throughout his career, he has worked for several prestigious news outlets such as Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Tampa Tribune, among others.

In addition to his work as a professor and journalist, Roush has also authored two books including “Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication,” which is widely regarded as the leading business reporting textbook. He has also written a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster titled “Thinking Things Over.” With his wealth of experience and expertise in business journalism, Roush is set to make a significant impact on the field at Quinnipiac University.
