Green Business Workshop in Northwest Colorado happening this week

Exploring Green Business Opportunities: Steamboat Springs Workshop and Office Hours

The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and Steamboat Springs Chamber are excited to present the second installment of the “Business Leadership for Climate” workshop series on Wednesday. Local business owners and organizations are invited to attend the event, which will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room in Steamboat Springs.

During the workshop, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the green business program, learn how to navigate the recognition application process, and discover strategies to accumulate points towards certification. The goal of the event is to promote the growth of the Yampa Valley green business community and facilitate discussions about green business opportunities and challenges. Lunch will be provided by Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is necessary.

For those unable to attend the workshop, the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley team will host office hours at the Bud Werner Memorial Library Coffee Bar from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of every month. No RSVP is required, and attendees can drop in, enjoy a free coffee and snack, and get more information and their questions answered.
