Egyptian Government to Implement New Measures to Control Food Prices in the Market

The Egyptian government is considering new measures to control food prices in the market. These include exempting certain imported goods from customs taxes for a three-month period. The new decision will cover imported goods such as medicines, frozen poultry, dairy products, butter, sugar, pastries, oils, and tea.

In addition to these measures, the government has recently announced an initiative to reduce the prices of essential commodities like beans, dairy products, oil, pasta, sugar, poultry products, eggs, and rice.
