Drone Saves the Day: Fulton Police Department Locates Missing Person in Record Time

A missing person was successfully located by the Fulton Police Department in New York using a drone. The person was reported missing by their family on Monday evening, and the police quickly mobilized a drone operator to assist in the search and rescue effort.

Deputy Chief Chris Dempsey emphasized the importance of using cutting-edge technology for the safety of the community and officers in this successful recovery effort.

The drone was deployed around 7:50 p.m. to cover a wooded area near the 600 block of Gansvoort Street. With the use of thermal imaging, the drone operator was able to locate the missing person at approximately 8:12 p.m. The operator then directed ground units to the location.

The missing person was found to be in good health and was helped out of the woods by officers. They were then reunited with their family.
