Discord to Retire Clyde Chatbot, a ChatGPT-Based Virtual Assistant, in December

The experimental conversational tool, Clyde, which was based on OpenAI technology and introduced in March, will no longer be available on the Discord platform after December 1. Users will no longer be able to interact with Clyde to discover new content or play games.

Clyde was designed as a discovery and recommendations tool that utilized ChatGPT technology. Users could interact with him through direct messages and channels, where he provided entertainment through trivia and jokes. However, he did not offer advice as stated in his description.

Recently, the technology company has announced that Clyde will be removed from the platform on December 1. As of this date, users will no longer be able to interact with him in direct messages or server chats, as explained on the Support page.
