The Government of Canada is creating investments to champion tiny corporations and help their export journey

To continue fueling the entrepreneurial spirit of British Columbians, the Government of Canada is creating investments to help additional tiny corporations in B.C. and introduce them to the planet.

Now at the 20th annual Compact Enterprise BC Awards, the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Improvement and Minister accountable for the Pacific Financial Improvement Agency of Canada (PacifiCan), announced PacifiCan funding of $three.65M to assist Compact Enterprise BC celebrate entrepreneurs and enhance the export capacity of tiny corporations across the province.
An investment of $three.6M more than 3 years will assist Compact Enterprise BC renew and expand the Export Navigator plan to attain additional men and women across B.C. Export Navigator is a no cost service that assists tiny corporations develop into export prepared. A network of neighborhood-primarily based export advisors offer one particular-on-one particular guidance that can assist tiny company owners tap into new international markets. Compact Enterprise BC will also boost the program’s help for Indigenous entrepreneurs.

With this funding, Export Navigator is now readily available in all eight B.C. financial improvement regions: Mainland/Southwest, Vancouver Island/Coast, Cariboo, Thompson-Okanagan, Kootenay, North Coast and Nechako, and Northeast.
The biggest groups of participating corporations are from the agri-foods sector, followed by manufacturing, customer goods, and clean technologies.
