Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Health Academy Graduates Earn National Certification in Patient Care Technician Program

Recently, the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Health Academy program announced the national certification of a group of Patient Care Technicians through the National Healthcareer Association. These students are essential in providing direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, performing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, collecting specimens, and offering support to patients and their families.

The Patient Care Technicians who earned national certification include Lexi Kelly, Kyrstin Reckner, Emma Julian, Abbie Passmore, Peyton Swanson, Alee Keyes, Megan Moore, Kamryn Martin, Alissa Frantz, Ariana Gonzalez, Cheyenne Schwartz, and Marah Morris. These students have completed extensive training and have demonstrated proficiency in their duties.

Pam Dawson, RN and Health Academy Instructor commended the students for their dedication and success in earning this certification. She emphasized the competitive advantage that comes with national certification whether these students choose to enter the workforce or pursue higher education. Pam is proud of her student’s accomplishments and looks forward to seeing them make a positive impact in the future as they continue to develop their skills and knowledge in healthcare careers.
