Clay County Promotes Local Economy with Small Business Saturday Events

The holiday season is just around the corner and there is no better way to celebrate than with the 4th Annual Hometown Christmas event in Brazil, Indiana. Hosted by Brazil Main Street and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, this event is a must-attend for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.

The event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will feature over 30 participating locations and dozens of craft vendors. Local businesses and vendors in Clay County will be offering special activities and promotions for attendees, making it easy to find unique gifts and treats.

One of the highlights of the event is a scavenger hunt that will take participants to various businesses in the area. The winners of the scavenger hunt will be announced during a community Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at Brazil City Hall, adding an extra special touch to the day’s festivities.

Attendees can pick up a paper passport at any of the participating locations, then visit each business to collect a Christmas stamp. Once they have stamps from at least 20 locations, they will be eligible for prizes, making it fun for all ages to participate in this friendly competition.

To make it even easier for participants to navigate their way around town, Thrive West Central has created a Hometown Christmas layer in their Crossroads Trails App, providing a convenient map and guide for planning out the day’s activities on their phones. Simply search for “West Central Indiana Trail Map” in the Apple App Store or in the Google Play Store and you’ll have everything you need right at your fingertips!
