Chicago Cardinals ink deal with pitcher Lance Lynn, announces NBC Sports Chicago

Lance Lynn, a former Chicago White Sox pitcher, has signed a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. The contract is worth $10 million for the 2024 season, with an option for 2025 that could increase it to $26 million. This news was reported by Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

In the 2023 season, Lynn began with the White Sox before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. While with the White Sox, he had a 6-9 record and a 6.47 ERA. However, when he joined the Dodgers, Lynn improved his performance, going 7-2 with a 4.36 ERA.

Before joining the White Sox, Lynn spent six seasons with the Cardinals, where he won a World Series ring in 2011 and a National League pennant in 2013. His return to the Cardinals aligns with his previous success with the team and is likely to bring back fond memories for fans of both teams.
