AOC Reveals High-Performance MiniLED Gaming Monitor with 180 Hz Refresh Rate

AOC has just announced the new Q27G3XMN/BK 27-inch monitor, which combines MiniLED technologies and excellent performance to offer gamers an affordable option for HDR gaming. The monitor’s Fast VA panel offers QHD (2560×1440) resolution, MiniLED backlighting with 336 dimming zones, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. This allows it to display deep black tones and the brightest points on the same screen.

The Full Range Local Dimming (FALD) backlight solution enhances the HDR experience by allowing some parts of the screen to be completely black while keeping others at a very high brightness. Using a color depth of 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), the monitor produces 1.07 billion colors and high color gamut coverage (+95% DCI-P3). It also offers a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time.

The monitor is equipped with an ergonomic stand that offers numerous options for height, tilt, rotation, and adjustment, as well as Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue to protect your eyes during prolonged gaming sessions. Additionally, Shadow Control allows gamers to adjust shadow levels and highlights to customize their visual experience of gaming, such as more easily seeing enemies hiding in dark corners. Adaptive-Sync also supports variable refresh rates, eliminating tearing and stuttering caused by disproportionate frames.

Covering Sight (Dial Point) allows gamers to aim accurately in FPS gaming where the sight is missing. The OSD features of the monitor can be adjusted using AOC G-Menu software or simply using OSD buttons on the monitor itself. The Q27G3XMN/BK will arrive in November at a suggested retail price of €399, making it an affordable option for gamers looking for HDR gaming at a reasonable price point.
