
Alyssa Henry, CEO of Block’s Square, Announces Departure from Company
According to a regulatory filing on Monday, Alyssa Henry, the CEO of Square, a unit of fintech company Block Inc, will be leaving the company on Oct. 2. This comes after her nine-year tenure with the company. Following the announcement, Block Inc’s shares fell 2.7% to $49.86. Prior to her role at Square, Henry served as the vice president at Amazon Web Services and sat on the boards of Intel and Unity Technologies, a software firm. Block, led by CEO Jack Dorsey, specializes in merchant payment services and offers an app for cryptocurrency trading. Last month, the company reported increased quarterly revenue, driven by higher payment volumes.
