The solar equipment distributor AEE Solar, founded in 1979 by David Katz in Redway, California, has announced that it will be closing its doors on May 3, 2024. In preparation for the closure, the company is currently selling off its remaining inventory at clearance prices.
AEE Solar started as a specialty off-grid equipment supplier and expanded to become a significant player in the residential market in California over the years. In 2014, Sunrun acquired the company along with SnapNrack. As part of their closure announcement, AEE Solar recommended that customers reach out to their territory sales manager for potential opportunities to purchase directly from SnapNrack in the future.
In addition to their commitment to serving their customers until the very end, AEE Solar opened a massive 140,000-ft2 distribution center in Visalia, California just last year. For more information about AEE Solar’s closure and upcoming changes, please refer to their statement provided below.
