Danai Gurira expressed her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly focusing on addressing inequities in Africa. The summit will also focus on defeating preventable diseases such as malaria, polio, and HPV while also announcing initiatives related to preserving the Amazon Rainforest and increasing investments in Africa through the World Bank.
Organizers also aim to inspire the next generation of advocates by awarding five young individuals making extraordinary efforts to create positive change in the world with financial support through the Global Citizen Prize awards.
